Côte d'Azur Trail Running Retreat

Due to the Côte d'Azur's proximity to the Alps, the landscape diversifies quickly between coastal and mountainous terrain. It's a diverse landscape which encompasses a Mediterranean coastline with a variety of beaches (pebbly, sandy, rocky) alongside a steep, mountainous hinterland that rises sharply from the sea, creating rugged peaks, canyons, and valleys.
In short, the region offers a great selection of running locations, along with amazing towns and villages for us to visit after our runs!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Is it just running, running and more running? Is it a "boot camp"?
No and no! We'll do plenty of running, but there will also be a healthy amount of downtime to rest and recover, which is built into every day of the retreat.
Are any of the runs optional? Can I 'sit out' any of the runs?
Yes you can. The aim is for everyone to have the best trip possible, and sometimes that might include extra rest. There could be a situation where some of the group attend one of the runs, and some of the group stay at the villa to rest.
Where's the nearest airport?
Nice-Côte d'Azur is the closest airport. There are regular flights to Nice airport from Bristol, Birmingham, various London airports and many others across the UK.
Do I need to rent a car?
No, there’s no requirement for you to rent a car - transport will be provided.
Do I need to be a member of Cheltenham and Gloucester Trail Runners?
No you don't. There will be a mixture of members and non-members on the trip.
Can I bring a friend?
Yes, absolutely! There's a £50 supplement per night for an additional person to share a bedroom - only applies to private bedrooms.
Can I buy my own food?
Yes, absolutely!
